Windows Live Messenger – Lost my contacts

I have been a MSN user for many many years and I use messenger alot for work and never had any problems with it. I log onto MSN via 3-4 places and this morgning, on one location all my contacts where missing/showing as offline.

I search around a bit and tryed few trix but nothing worked so I tryed deleted the offline contact info to make Messenger app redownload from MS.

 

On Windows 7

  1. Log off MSN
  2. C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\Contacts\
  3. Delete ALL files and folders there+
  4. Log inn again and all your contacts are doenloaded again…

 

Easy as one, two, three  🙂
